UPI QR code generator
Make a scan-to-pay QR code from your UPI ID that works with Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and every other UPI app. Print it for your counter or send it as an image. Free, and the money goes straight to your bank.
Open your UPI app and tap your profile photo to see it. Where to find it
Your shop or your own name. Customers also see the name on your bank account before they pay.
Leave it empty for a shop counter, so customers type what they owe. Fill it in for a fixed fee.
Shows next to the payment in most UPI apps, which helps you tell fees or orders apart.

How to find your UPI ID
In most UPI apps, tap your profile photo or your own QR code, usually at the top of the home screen. Your UPI ID is shown under your name. It looks like name@okicici, 9876543210@ybl or name@paytm. If you have more than one, pick the one linked to the bank account you want the money in.
Fixed amount or open amount?
Leave the amount empty for a shop counter, stall or delivery, where every bill is different. The customer scans and types what they owe. Fill in an amount when the price is always the same: a monthly tuition or coaching fee, society maintenance, an event ticket or a set donation. The amount is filled in for the customer, so nobody pays the wrong sum. Add a payment note like “June tuition” to see what each payment was for.
Test it before you print
- Scan the preview with a UPI app on another phone.
- Check that your name, or the name on your bank account, comes up, and the amount if you set one.
- Stop there, or send yourself ₹1 to be sure. You never need to finish a payment just to test.
Keep your payments safe
- Check the money arrived. Look at your own UPI app or bank SMS before handing over the goods. A payment screen on the customer's phone can be faked.
- Look after the printed card. Laminate it or keep it behind the counter glass, and glance at it now and then. Scammers sometimes stick their own QR code over a shop's.
- Receiving money never needs a PIN. If someone sends you a QR code or a request and says you need to enter your PIN to receive money, it's a scam.
Sending a bill or a receipt?
For a proper bill, the invoice generator and GST invoice generator print a UPI pay code on the invoice with the exact total filled in. Once you're paid, send a receipt. Want reviews from happy customers too? Put a Google review QR card next to this one.
Questions
- How do I make a QR code for my UPI ID?
- Type your UPI ID and the name you want on the card, add an amount if the price is fixed, and download the printable PDF. You can also share the card as an image or download just the QR code as a PNG or SVG.
- Does it work with Google Pay, PhonePe and Paytm?
- Yes. The code uses the standard UPI payment link that every UPI app reads, including Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay and banks' own apps.
- Does the money go through PaidToFree?
- No. The QR code only holds your UPI ID, name and the amount if you set one. Customers pay from their bank to yours through UPI, and this site never sees the payment. There's no fee from us.
- Is it safe to print my UPI ID?
- Yes. A UPI ID can only receive money, so showing it is like showing your shop's name. Never share your UPI PIN or an OTP. You don't need either to receive money.
- Will the QR code stop working?
- No. The details are stored inside the code itself, so it keeps working for as long as your UPI ID is active. If you change your bank account or UPI ID, make a new code.
- Will I get a sound alert when someone pays, like a shop soundbox?
- Not from this code. Soundboxes come with a merchant QR from your bank or payment app. With this code, you'll see payments in your UPI app and your bank's SMS, as with any other UPI transfer.
