How to make a WhatsApp chat link
- Enter your WhatsApp number, starting with + and your country code. Leave out the first 0 of a local number.
- Add a ready-made message, if you want one.
- Copy the link, or download the QR code as a printable card, a PNG or an SVG. Press Test the link first to check it opens a chat with you.

Know where each chat comes from
Make a separate link for each place you share it, each with its own message: “Hi, I found you on Instagram” for your bio, “Hi, I picked up your flyer” for print. When chats arrive, the first message tells you which one is working.

- Do people need to save my number first?
- No. The link opens a chat with you straight away, in the WhatsApp app on a phone or in WhatsApp on a computer.
- Does it work with WhatsApp Business?
- Yes. Business and personal accounts use the same links.
- Will the QR code stop working?
- No. The link is stored in the code itself, so it keeps working as long as your number is on WhatsApp. Nothing depends on this website staying online.
- Can I change the message later?
- The message is part of the link, so to change it, make a new link and code. People can always edit the message before they send it.
- Is this made by WhatsApp?
- No. PaidToFree isn't connected to WhatsApp or Meta. The tool builds links in WhatsApp's public click-to-chat format.
