How to make a quotation
- Under From, add your business details and logo.
- Under Prepared for, add your client's name and details.
- Set the quote number, the date, and how long the quote is valid.
- List each item or stage of the work with a price, plus any tax or discount.
- In the notes, write what's included, what isn't, your payment terms and how to accept. Then press Download PDF.
What a good quote includes
- A clear description of the work, broken into items or stages.
- The price of each part, with tax shown separately.
- What isn't included, so there are no surprises later.
- A valid-until date.
- Payment terms, such as a deposit before starting.
- How the client should accept: reply by email, sign and return, or pay the deposit.
Follow up

- What's the difference between a quote and an estimate?
- A quote is usually a fixed price for clearly defined work. An estimate is an informed guess that may change once the work starts. Whichever you send, say which it is in the notes so the client knows what to expect.
- How long should a quote be valid?
- Thirty days is common, and it's the default here. Use a shorter period if your material or supplier prices change often.
- The client wants changes. What should I do?
- Edit the quote and send it with a new number, for example QT-0001-R2, so both of you can tell the versions apart.
- How do I turn an accepted quote into an invoice?
- Open the invoice generator and add the same items. Your business details are saved separately there, so you only need the client and the items.
- Where are my quotes saved?
- Your current draft is saved only in your browser on this device. Nothing is uploaded to our servers, so download the PDF of each quote you send.
